I edited and re-edited this way more than how it probably looks like... Anyway, because all of you have been waiting on a new chapter for my The Hobbit fanfiction 'The Stumble Prevents the Fall' (or TSPTF, as I'm going to call it from now on) and because I'm still not quite finished with it, I thought to post this.
This wallpaper of my character Lillian came to life when I was building up her background story, so this can probably be labeled as a bit of a 'teaser' of what still needs to be revealed in the story. I also thought it was obscure enough to not spoil any of you. I think you can interpret this in many ways.

I hope you enjoy this substitute for a chapter. I'd also love to hear your thoughts on what you think this wallpaper could mean. I'm rather curious to know. *grins*

This is also on my Tumblr, please repost from there: [link]

I do not own any of the pictures used in this piece. They belong to their respective owners.
The lyrics are from the song 'How Far We've Come' by Matchbox 20.

I somehow like the Audrey version better, but this one is really nice too^^
Now, back to my "in-depth analysis" ^^'
I feel that Lil, as the older sibling, was always meant to be the "perfect" one. You know this child which is always polite, always have good grades, always pleases her parents and so one. As such she was looked on through those qualities. And despite the fact that her parents were proud and others were proud, she herself felt sort of "invisible". Because, that person wasn't her. And yet, she has hard time showing others her true self, abandoning what expectations put on her. Maybe those "guidelines" gave her the feeling of having everything perfectly under control - and that way she felt secure, because nothing unexpected (and therfore something she would be able to deal with on her own) could happen to her while following them. But on the other hand, it frustrates her to no end (and this is fuelling her already firece personality, to become a little more... explosive ;)) All in all, she herself, sort of lost recognition of which Lillian is the true one, and has a hard time wondering about what she truly meant to others?
Not to mention, that being dropped into the middle of the world that didn't even suppose to exist, when nothing is familiar, stripped her of this "control" over her life and therefore from feeling even remotely safe, but on the contrary lost and desperate...

And I will finish here and go crawl under my bed, because this is probably wrong as hell ^^'....
